ZPU is modular power units with a quick-ship option (as quick as two weeks). With a maximum pressure of 3000 psi and flow rates ranging from 2 GPM to 10 GPM, this versatile solution offers a reservoir capacity of up to 30 gallons and is equipped with a motor of up to 20HP. Features include return filters, temperature/ level switch, and built-in relief valves. Fixed-displacement options include an integrated dump valve. Variable-displacement options include adjustable pressure compensation. These compact units come with full support from Zemarc Engineering to customize to your application requirements. ZPU. TEMPERATURE/ LEVEL SWITCHES -

TEMPERATURE/  LEVEL SWITCHES - The temperature and level switch sits in the reservoir and will shut down the system if the level of hydraulic fluid gets too low or gets too hot

  • CHECK VALVE
  • RELIEF VALVE
  • UNLOADER VALVE - An unloader valve, when opened, sends the pressurized fluid from the exit of the pump to the return line to the tank. This stops power to the cylinder without shutting off the power unit. (Only available fixed displacement Power Units)

WHEN WILL YOU NEED A HEAT EXCHANGER?

  • If the system is expected to run for long periods of time or frequently, it is a good idea to include a heat exchanger. When running for long periods, the hydraulic fluid will heat up over time. 
  • AIR OVER OIL COOLER - Only available for the 7.5 HP motor system and is best for systems that will be used intermittently. If the system is expected to run frequently or for long periods of time, the water over oil cooler would be better at keeping up with the heat load.
  • WATER OVER AIR COOLER - Requires a water source and a water drain for operation and is something the customer should take into account. There are water over air coolers available for every HP motor option.

OPTIONAL FILTRATION SOLUTIONS

  • RETURN FILTER - A return filter filters contaminants from the hydraulic fluid as it enters the reservoir from the system.
  • HIGH PRESSURE  FILTER- High pressure filters will be in addition to a return filter. The high pressure filter is connected after the pump. A high pressure filter is preferred in situations where the power unit will be connected to precise systems that are susceptible to damage from minor contamination
